UKZN staff in PMB

 

Mr Ayanda Mthethwais the new Senior Admin Officer of the Pietermaritzburg School satellite office. He and his staff are located in the parkhome at Greys Hospital and will provide a professional service at all times to all the School of Clinical Medicine staff based at the hospitals within the PMB area.

 

The parkhome currently consists of a shared office space for the professional service staff, a meeting/teaching venue, a shared office for Dr Aldous and Dr Caldwell and a computer LAN.  There is 24-hour access control for staff and postgraduate students to the computer LAN where access is gained through the door written LIBRARY and requires the user to swipe their staff / student card.

    • Serves as source of information to students, parents, academic staff, support staff, school management on all matters pertaining to student administration.

 

  • Module Coordination

    • To inter alia setup the structure of the module/s on SMS, uploading and/or distribution of material to students for the relevant module/s, coordinate the teaching of the module/s, including for example venue bookings, and the transportation of the students to the various sites for their teaching needs.

 

  • Examination

    • To inter alia ensure appropriate planning of the examination/s, ensure all logistics pertaining to the examination/s are efficiently attended to for example, the booking of examiners, venues, timekeepers, ushers and other resources, and timeously capture results on SMS.
